Welcome to the bright and colorful world of Lightsticks!
In our article about the colorful selection of fan items that K-Pop fans can use to please themselves, we already explained to you what the lightsticks are all about that fans wave at concerts to support their favorite artists.
Each band has its own customized lightstick, which in some cases is so extravagantly designed that unknowing onlookers don't realize it's actually a lamp. These unusual treasures are not only ideal for creating a sea of lights, also known as "Ocean", in the dark arenas at concerts of your favorite band together with other fans, but also for showing which band you have sworn allegiance to at festivals where several artists are performing. Of course, they are also suitable for the evening in front of the TV or simply as a stylish night light.
Lightsticks are often sold at the concerts themselves, so that as many fans as possible can equip themselves with them. Online, there are even keychains, miniature versions of the popular lamps that can also light up.
Today we'd like to introduce you to a few of our favorites, so you can get an idea of how different and beautiful lightsticks can be.
The Lightstick from Stray Kids has the typical round head that most Lightsticks have. Its name "Nachimbong" is a combination of the words "Nachimban", in German "Kompass" and "bong" for stick, because the head contains a red and white compass that can even rotate in the ball. This compass has no direction, and thus embodies Stray Kids' sweet message to their fans: "You let Stray Kids stay."

Apink - Panda Bong
The girl group's fan club is called "Pink Panda", so the group's lightstick looks like a panda's head. Logical, right? But most of all just cute! Even the button to turn it on looks like a panda head.
The new version, released in 2018, lights up and flashes like the original in white, but has a transparent back that features Apink's logo. If you think that the cute little panda belongs on your shelf, you've come to the here !
This March, almost four years after their debut, The Boyz finally released their own Lightstick. Fans might think they're holding a heart-shaped megaphone, but this one makes light instead of noise: red, white and rainbow colors, flashing from red to white, flashing red and flashing even faster.
As of yet, the new centerpiece in every The Boyz fan's collection doesn't have a name, but hopefully it won't be long; the band has asked their fans to contribute ideas. What would you call it?

"BI-ping-bong" from Blackpink, is definitely one of the more unusual lightsticks that do not reveal their function at first glance. It looks like a rubber hammer that even squeaks when you hit the person next to you with it. If you feel annoyed by this, you can turn off the squeaking with a switch on the top. Fans who prefer to wave the Lightstick at concerts won't be disappointed, because both sides of the hammer glow in a bright pink. Those who
buy the hammer even get a stand with it, which makes it possible to set up the Lightstick decoratively.
According to YG Entertainment, the members of Blackpink even designed the Lightstick themselves. Well, if that's not a reason to add it to your collection!
SHINee - Shating Star
SHINee has been in business for a few years now, and while fans used to swing simple aqua-colored glow sticks at earlier concerts, today they proudly hold the "Shating Star," an elegant stick whose head is shaped like a diamond that looks like a five-pointed star from above. Inside there is another diamond with the band's name written on the top, and even on the button there is a diamond. This classy piece is clearly one of our favorites.
ITZY - Lightring
At the beginning we said that Lightsticks are also suitable as a stylish night light, perhaps especially for those fans who do not have the opportunity to attend a concert. There is probably no one to which this is more true than the Lightring from ITZY. As the name suggests, this is not a stick, but a ring that is one-third white grip and two-thirds transparent tube that glows in different colors when you turn on the Lightring. The battery compartment and the switch button are located on the white grip surface.
The special feature: The Lightring comes with a wall mount that can be screwed to the wall. So you can hang your treasure on the wall, turn it on and enjoy the atmosphere.
