All four members of SHINee have signed new contracts!

It's official! Almost 16 years after their debut, the members of SHINee are taking a new direction: Two of them will remain with SM Entertainment, but the other two will be represented by new agencies from now on. But don't worry, SHINee will continue to be active with four members!

Back in March, it was announced that the contracts of the SHINee members were coming to an end and that some of them were in talks with new agencies. SM Entertainment responded very promptly to these rumors and stated that SHINee will remain active as a group even if the members sign new contracts for their solo careers.

Taemin was the first to sign a new contract:

After more than 15 years with SM Entertainment, SHINee's Maknae has decided to join Big Planet Made Entertainment (BPM). This was officially announced by BPM on April 1. In addition to Taemin, the agency also represents Ren (formerly NU'EST), the girl group VIVIZ and Ha Sung Woon (formerly Wanna One), among others. Taemin will pursue his solo activities under BPM in the future and will continue to work with SM Entertainment for activities with SHINee.

BPM has already released new social media channels for Taemin, uploading new profile photos and Taemin's brand new logo!

The logo is well received: Fans think it looks similar to a star; a symbol that SHINee often uses. So perhaps the logo is another sign that Taemin will always be a part of SHINee, no matter where he is.

News from Onew followed on April 3:

The new agency GRIFFIN Entertainment announced that the singer had signed an exclusive contract. Onew is therefore GRIFFIN's first artist. This agency describes itself as a place where artists can develop their unique talents. We hope that Onew will be able to push ahead with his solo career there.

Onew posted new profile pictures on his personal Instagram account on the same day.

Today, Key and Minho finally reached out as well:

The two have renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment! The decision to continue working with SM Entertainment is based on a long-standing relationship of trust between the artists and the agency. Key and Minho thanked their fans for their support and promised to continue doing their best.

SM also issued a statement. The agency will continue to fully support the two singers in the future; not only as members of SHINee, but also as solo artists.

We are excited to see what the future holds for Minho, Taemin and co. What is certain is that we can expect a lot more from them! For example, there are rumors that SHINee will return with a new album in the second half of 2024.
