Are you one of the fans eagerly waiting for the debut of the new project group “BLIT”? The boy group already has quite a few fans, because it consists of trainees from the popular survival show “Boys Planet”, which aired earlier this year. Hopefully you haven’t gotten too used to the name yet, because it was officially changed yesterday:
BLIT becomes EVNNE!
Just a week ago, Jellyfish Entertainment confirmed the seven members of the group and also announced the name “BLIT”. You can read more about it here.
Today, the label spoke up again with surprising news. The label discovered a negative association with “BLIT” and decided to change the name to avoid any possible misunderstandings.
From now on, the boy group is called “EVNNE”:
The name is pronounced “Even”. It is an abbreviation for “EVENing’s Newest Etoiles”. “Etoiles” is the French word for “stars”. Translated, the phrase means “Newest stars in the night sky”. It stands for the group’s determination to shine brightly and attract everyone’s attention.
In fact, “EVNNE” was the nickname used for the group in advance. Jellyfish and the members decided on this name together.
By the way, EVNNE’s official social media accounts were also opened yesterday, and some selfies and group photos have already appeared on them.
