The debut of ZEROBASEONE is approaching, already on July 10 the first album YOUTH in the SHADE will be released. But as big as the joy is, many fans still think wistfully of their favorites from Boys Planet, who didn't make it into the project group. When will we see them on stage again? Very soon, because some of the Boys Planet trainees are forming their own group!
According to Korean news portal Joy News 24, the two labels WAKEONE and Yuehua are working together to form another project group! WAKEONE commented:
"The formation of a new team with current trainees is under discussion, but nothing concrete has been decided yet." No members have been firmly confirmed yet, it seems.
Of course, it is very likely that the current WAKEONE and Yuehua trainees will be there. Joy News 24 has reported that the following trainees are likely to debut: Lee Jeong Hyeon, Mun Jung Hyun, Park Ji Hoo, Yoo Seung Eon, Ji Yun Seo and fan favorite Park Han Bin. What do you say about this lineup?
Negotiations are still open, so the lineup may change. There is also a chance that trainees from other entertainments will join if the labels come to an agreement. Supposedly, the new group will then be managed by Jellyfish Entertainment.
We're keeping our fingers crossed that the negotiations will move quickly and there will be news soon!
Boys Planet is a survival show in which earlier this year 98 trainees competed in exciting missions for a place in the nine-member project group ZB1.
It is considered a successor to the show Girls Planet 999, from which the girl group Kep1er emerged. Boys Planet was produced by the channel Mnet, which is also known for other survival shows such as the popular Produce series, which gave birth to the hit groups I.O.I, Wanna One and IZ*ONE.
A project similar to the one planned now last took place in 2017.
Six trainees who competed and lost in Produce 101 Season 2 debuted in the project group JBJ four months after the show's finale, and the group released three successful albums before disbanding in April 2018.
Like JBJ and ZB1, the new planned group will probably be active for a limited time, but at least it's another opportunity to see the trainees. And it's a chance for them to gain even more fans to support them in the future!
Did your favorites end up in ZEROBASEONE? Or do you hope to see some of them again in the new group?
