Jisoo debuted in 2016 as a member of the girl group Blackpink and is now one of the most influential K-pop idols in the world. She is considered a fashion icon, made her solo debut in 2023 and is also active as an actress. Now she has opened her own agency, “BLISSOO”, which will support her solo career.
Ever since Jisoo and the other three members of Blackpink renewed their contracts with YG in December 2023, there have been rumors that the singer had founded her own agency for her solo activities. Yesterday, Jisoo finally made it official: she launched a website and social media channels for “BLISSOO” and has already uploaded the first pictures there!
On Twitter and Instagram, Jisoo shared new profile pictures in which she smiles happily into the camera. She also addressed her fans in a message:
“Hello, this is Jisoo. I'm happy to share my new beginning with BLISSOO. Stay tuned for what's to come, because I've set out to bring joy and happiness to each and every one of you. Please keep showering Jisoo with BLISSOO, and BLACKPINK too, with your love and support. Thank you.” - Jisoo
No videos have been posted on the YouTube channel yet, but it links to the videos Jisoo uploaded on her personal channel “Happiness score 103% (행복지수 103%)”.
What does the name “BLISSOO” mean?
The name is a combination of “BLIS” and “SOO”. “BLIS” is the English word for “bliss” and “SOO” of course stands for Jisoo.
On the website, BLISSOO explained that its mission is to share the joy that Jisoo creates in her own unique way.
So Jisoo's agency is all about happiness and joy! We hope that her wish comes true and that she will experience many more happy moments together with her fans in the future.
On the website, Jisoo also shares her current solo projects:
Among other things, the singer will soon make her film debut in the adaptation of the popular webtoon “OMNISCIENT READER'S VIEWPOINT". The leading roles in the film are played by Lee Min Ho (The King: Eternal Monarch), Ahn Hyo Seop (Business Proposal) and Chae Soo Bin (Rookie Cops).
The story revolves around Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), who suddenly ends up in the web novel he loves to read. Jisoo will play Lee Ji Hye, a friend of Yoo Joong Hyuk (Lee Min Ho), the main character of the web novel.
Are you looking forward to seeing Jisoo on the big screen again?
