Fans organize meeting after KPOP LUX London was canceled!
"It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce the postponement of the KPOP LUX London show. We have tried to find a way to keep the show alive but have just run out of options." The organizer of KPOP LUX shared this message the day before yesterday on Twitter, Instagram and the official website.
Actually, the festival should have taken place on September 22 and 23 at the O2 Arena in London. The expected guests included many big stars like ITZY, ZB1, Yena and TXT, so the anticipation was understandably huge.
So it's no wonder that fans are disappointed. On social media, they shared the outfits and freebies they spent months preparing and their disappointment that they won't get to use them after all.
The reason KPOP LUX gave for the postponement was that unforeseen circumstances made it impossible to produce a show with high quality.
In July, the KPOP LUX festival took place in Madrid, Spain and until a few days ago it looked like the London event would also take place as planned. Just on August 30, the full lineup was announced, accompanied by the news that the concert will be extended to two days. In the last few days, the organizer even shared video messages from the various artists on Twitter and co. and until September 7, they were still heating up the anticipation with more posts.
What the cancellation means for the future of KPOP LUX is still unclear. While the promoter expressed hope that fans will buy tickets again when a new date is announced, many have already announced they no longer have faith in the event.
Everyone is supposed to get their money back, but since the concert was canceled on such short notice, many visitors are stuck with hotel and airfare costs.
To make the best of it, some fans are now planning to gather privately!
So if you're in London on September 22 and 23, maybe you can attend one of these fan gatherings to spend the day together with others. This is your chance to wear your planned outfit and give away freebies! Of course, those who didn't have a ticket to KPOP LUX are also welcome.
An example of this is the "HATE KPOPLUXX EVENT" scheduled for Friday, September 22. There should be freebies as well as the opportunity to trade photo cards.
