Since Monday, the message “WE ARE BACK” has been displayed on the outside of the HYBE headquarters. In addition, over 1,500 ARMYs from many different countries gathered in front of the building yesterday and today. They were there, ready to welcome the 4 BTS members who were discharged from the military in the past few hours!
Jin and J-hope have already been back for a few months and are delighting fans with new music, concert dates and more. But although that is a reason to celebrate, most fans are still longingly waiting for the return of the other members, because they can hardly wait to see BTS as a group again.
The wait is finally over!
Yesterday, V and RM officially celebrated the end of their military service. RM even played a serenade on the saxophone for the waiting fans, because over the past 18 months he served in the military brass band. In their short speech, the two thanked the gathered ARMYs for waiting for their return and stressed that they can hardly wait to return to the stage.
A few hours ago, Jungkook and Jimin returned as well. They were visibly nervous and explained that they are no longer used to standing in front of the camera. Like their bandmates, they thanked the waiting fans and members of the press and briefly looked back on their hard but instructive time in the military.
Although Suga began his service back in September 2023, he is returning later than the others, because he worked in public service. The reason is a chronic shoulder injury, because of which he was classified as unfit for active duty. Anyone who works as a public service worker has to stay in the military for 21 months instead of the usual 18.
But now the time has finally come: Suga will be discharged on June 21 and will thus complete the group!
For many of us, it may hardly have felt like the members were gone for so long, because despite their absence, new solo albums and fan merchandise kept being released over the past months.
In May, for example, “Right Place, Wrong Person” was released, RM’s second studio album. In July, “Muse” followed, Jimin’s second studio album. Recently, the fan box “BTS - 7 MOMENTS” was also released. It contains a thick photo book and many personal interviews.
On June 13-14, BTS celebrate their 12th anniversary with the 2025 BTS FESTA!
The event takes place in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea and is dedicated to the world-famous boy group. The program includes, among other things, an exhibition of trophies and a light show.
The event now takes place annually, but in 2025 it is all the more meaningful, because it also celebrates the reunion of BTS.
WELCOME BACK BTS!
