The boy group VIXX last made a comeback in 2018, first with the Korean album “Eau De Vixx” in April, followed by the Japanese album “Reincarnation” in September. That was over four years ago, but fans are patiently waiting for news and hoping to see the boys on stage together again one day. VIXX did actually check in again in between: a single titled “Walking” was released in February 2019, and just last December Leo, Hyuk and Ken uploaded a cover on YouTube. In January the three even performed a few of VIXX's hits on the music show M Countdown!

Unfortunately, there was also bad news. In 2020, Hongbin left VIXX and Jellyfish Entertainment, the label under which the group debuted in 2012. Afterwards, N and Hyuk also left the label. The two announced, however, that they are still members of VIXX. Since then, the boy group has officially been a five-piece.
The rapper Ravi announced on Instagram today that he has left VIXX.
Anyone who has followed the scandal surrounding Ravi over the past few weeks is probably not too surprised. Back in January, there were rumors that the rapper had postponed his military service by illegal means. He has been working in the public service since October 2022.
According to the rumors, he used the help of fraudsters who procured a false medical diagnosis for him and many others, in order to be exempted from military service or at least to avoid serving as an active soldier. He received a false epilepsy diagnosis.

On Instagram today, Ravi uploaded a long apology.
In it, he explains that he postponed his service by these means because he had to fulfill contracts that he had already signed before Covid. Because of the pandemic, the activities he had committed to in those contracts were postponed by years. Had Ravi canceled them, he would have had to pay a fine. At that time, he was the only artist of his label GROVVL1N who brought in money.
He apologized both to all the men who are currently fulfilling their military duty and to epilepsy patients whom he may have offended with his false diagnosis:
“I would like to sincerely apologize to the epilepsy patients and their families who must have been hurt by me, because I rationalized myself in this process and made the wrong decision, as well as to all service members who are faithfully carrying out their duties even at this moment.”
Regarding his departure from VIXX, Ravi wrote the following:

“And finally, to the VIXX members who have been harmed because of my fault: I have decided to leave the team so that no further harm is done. I sincerely thank all the members who have been with me for 11 years, and I am endlessly sorry. I sincerely hope that I will not cause any further damage to the members' valuable efforts.”
As of today, VIXX is officially only four members. Ravi is currently in a court trial for violating the military service law. In the first trial, the prosecution demanded two years in prison for Ravi and other defendants.
