SM Entertainment presents: New artists, new music, new shows!

SM Entertainment präsentiert: Neue Künstler, Neue Musik, Neue Shows!

SM Entertainment already announced several comebacks and new projects for the second half of 2024 back in February. Some of these plans have already been carried out, including Aespa's first studio album and a new mini album from Red Velvet. Other projects are still to come. A few more have been added as well. Today, SM Entertainment shared new details:

NEW BOY GROUP, NEW GIRL GROUP & NAEVIS

As already mentioned in our last article, three new artists will still debut this year: the solo artist “Naevis”, a new girl group and a British boy group.

Naevis is set to release a single in the third quarter, so either this month or next month.

SM Entertainment British boy group 'Dear Alice'

The British boy group now has a name: “Dear Alice”. It consists of five members and will soon introduce itself in a reality show titled “Korea : The K-Pop Experience”. The show follows the group's preparations for their debut.

As if that weren't enough, SM also seems to be working on a five-member trot idol group made up of former contestants from the casting show “Mr. Trot”. Their formation is also set to be documented through a show.

THESE SOLO DEBUTS AND COMEBACKS ARE COMING:

SHINee's Minho will soon celebrate his first comeback as a solo artist, almost two years after his solo debut with “Chase”.

Girls Generation's Taeyeon is planning a comeback with a new mini album. It would already be the singer's sixth mini album. Her last release was “To.X” in November 2023.

Super Junior's Yesung also wants to release a new mini album, one year after “Unfading Sense”.

EXO's Chanyeol, NCT's Jaehyun & Red Velvet's Irene will all debut as solo artists this year:

You can already pre-order Jaehyun's debut album “J” in our shop as of today!

Chanyeol has been on stage as a member of EXO since 2012 and also founded the sub-unit “EXO-SC” with Sehun in 2019. More than 10 years after his debut, the likeable singer is finally venturing into a solo career. We will probably learn more details in just a few days, because like Jaehyun, Chanyeol is also expected to release his debut album in August.

Irene celebrated her 10th anniversary with Red Velvet on August 1 and has also been active as a member of the unit “Irene & Seulgi” for four years. Her solo debut is planned for the fourth quarter.

NCT DREAM AND AESPA ARE COMING BACK WITH NEW MUSIC SOON!

NCT DREAM have been touring Asia on their world tour since early May. At the end of August, the boy group will continue the tour in Latin America and will then also give several concerts in the United States and Europe. The tour is set to end on December 1 in Seoul, South Korea. In the meantime, the guys have apparently been working hard on new music, because a new studio album is coming in the fourth quarter.

Aespa presented their first studio album in May, which sold over 1 million copies. There is no break in sight, because SM Entertainment has announced a new mini album and a new world tour!

There is no more talk of the SHINee comeback that was announced in February in the new plans.

SHINee 'Hard' Concept Photo

This could be due, among other things, to the fact that leader Onew withdrew from public life for 10 months for health reasons and only started appearing in public again in April.

In addition, Onew and Taemin signed new contracts for their solo activities in March. They now only work with SM Entertainment for SHINee activities.

In return, Onew's third mini album “Flow” is set to be released in September! And we will probably get to hear new music from SHINee by 2025 at the latest.

Which project are you most looking forward to?
