TXT is taking a break next year

TXT legt nächstes Jahr eine Pause ein

Since their debut in March 2019, the members of TXT have worked tirelessly to delight their fans. The boy group has now released 14 albums, presented countless singles and completed three world tours! Next year, though, the guys will take things a bit easier.

A few hours ago, BIGHIT MUSIC announced on Weverse that the boy group will take a longer break in 2025. TXT is still set to perform at the 39th Golden Disc Awards on January 5 and will then step back for a while. During their break, the members want to spend time with their families and rest.

Exactly how long this break will last is not yet known. In the statement, however, BIG HIT MUSIC promised that the boy group will prepare for their comeback in 2025.

You can read the full statement here. We translated it for you:

“Hello,
this is BIGHIT MUSIC.

We would like to give an update regarding the upcoming break of the members of TOMORROW X TOGETHER.

After their performance at the 39th Golden Disc Awards on January 5 (KST), TOMORROW X TOGETHER will end their activities for 2024 and take a longer break.

During this time, the members plan to spend beautiful moments with their families and rest, in order to prepare for their return to MOA with an extraordinary year 2025.

We sincerely ask for your support and understanding as the members spend this time in their own way. TOMORROW X TOGETHER will return with an even more remarkable presence to show their gratitude for the love of MOA.

Thank you.”

Yeonjun, Soobin and the others have more than earned this break.

TXT has been very busy over the past 11 months. It started back in January: the Solo Leveling soundtrack "Level" by Sawano Hiroyuki ft. TXT was released on Youtube. This was followed in April by the mini album “Minisode 3: Tomorrow”, shortly before the start of the third world tour “ACT:PROMISE”.

The tour began on May 3, 2024 in Seoul and ended on December 1 in Osaka. In these 7 months, TXT played more than 30 concerts in 7 different countries. Meanwhile, the boy group even found time to go into the studio, as fans could regularly look forward to new music. In July, the Japanese single "We'll Never Change" was released, along with TXT’s first English advertising song “Open Always Wins” for Samsung.

On November 4, Huening Kai, Beomgyu and the rest also presented their new album “The Star Chapter: Sanctuary”, which was bought more than 1 million times on the first day! As if that weren't enough, TXT released the soundtrack “Can’t Stop” for the Korean series “Brewing Love” on November 18.

BIG HIT MUSIC's decision to announce this break is a good example for other labels in the K-pop industry, which is marked by overwork and mistreatment. We wish TXT all the best and hope that the members can rest for as long as they need.
