About Crown
6 of EXO’s 9 active members took part in Crown: Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, and Lay. It’s the first comeback with Kai and Lay in 5 years. Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin are absent, as they remain in a legal dispute with SM Entertainment.
EXO return to their signature sound, combining an epic atmosphere with powerful vocals. In the song, the members promise to give everything to protect the "crown" and call on their listeners to come to the throne. The lyrics may be a nod to the group’s close bond with their fans, whom they symbolically regard as the rightful bearers of the crown and to whom they pledge unconditional support.
