BIOGRAPHY

Felix (필릭스 pillikseu) was born on September 15, 2000 in Sydney, Australia. His parents were born in South Korea, but later emigrated to Australia. Until Felix moved to Korea on March 14, 2017, he lived with his parents and two sisters, Rachel and Olivia, in the suburb of Seven Hills and graduated from St. Patrick ́s Marist College.

An einem Nachmittag nach der Schule, bekam Felix eine Nachricht von der Entertainment Agentur JYPE, die ihn fragten, ob er Interesse daran hätte, zu einem Casting zu kommen. Bei dem Casting konnte Felix JYPE mit einem Freestyle Dance überzeugen und trat der Agentur am 24. Februar 2017 offiziell bei. Für seinen Traum zog er ohne seine Familie und mit mangelnden Sprachkenntnisse nach Seoul, Südkorea.

Am 11. Oktober 2017 kündigte JYPE die Survival Show “Stray Kids” an. In der Show wurde Felix als Tänzer und Rapper des “Male Group Projects” vorgestellt. Das “Male Project Team” war von Anfang an etwas Besonderes, denn im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen K-Pop-Gruppen wurde es nicht von der Agentur gebildet. Stattdessen hatte der Trainee Bang Chan selbst das Team aus insgesamt neun Mitgliedern zusammengestellt. Die Mitglieder waren: Bang Chan, Lee Know, Han, Changbin, Felix, Hyunjin, Seungmin, I.N und Woojin.

Felix had a harder time than the others, as he spoke and understood very little Korean. In order to improve, he crammed for hours into the night alongside his hard training as a trainee. Nevertheless, he was eliminated in the 8th episode due to his lack of language skills. Felix returned at a later point in the show. In the final episode of the survival show on Dec. 19, 2017, it was announced that the very group that Bang Chan put together would debut and Felix was part of the group again. However, in October 2019, Woojin left the group for unknown reasons.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

In his career as a dancer and rapper in the up-and-coming and charismatic group "Stray Kids", Felix and his members reached several milestones and surpassed themselves with every comeback. As the list of their successes is very long, we have recorded some of the most important milestones for you here:

• In August 2021, their album Noeasy sold over 1,127,800 copies. This was the first time that Stray Kids and a group from the JYPE label had broken the million mark.
• In March 2022, her album ODDINARY reached number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts for the first time.
• In August 2022, Stray Kids became the third Korean band after BTS and BIGBANG to reach 10 million subscribers on YouTube.
• In October 2022, Stray Kids reached number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts for the second time in a row with MAXIDENT.
• In June 2023, Stray Kids reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts for the third time in a row with the album 5-STAR. They also broke the record for the most pre-ordered album in the history of K-pop at the time of its release.
• In November 2023, Stray Kids reached #1 on the Billboard 200 for the fourth consecutive year with their album ROCK-STAR. "LALALALA" also became their first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #90.

Felix ist vor allem für seine tiefe, basslastige Stimme bekannt, die er gekonnt in seinem Rap einsetzt. Seine Stimme ist eine starke Waffe, die Stray Kids hilft, sich von anderen Gruppen abzuheben. Er selbst bezeichnet sich als den Bass der Gruppe. Wenn Felix singt, ist seine Stimme fast nicht wiederzuerkennen, denn dann klingt er sehr sanft und jungenhaft. Abgesehen von seinen “Killing Parts” in den Stray Kids Songs hat er bisher einen Solo-Song veröffentlicht, in dem er seinen Fans seine sanfte Seite präsentiert.

Durch seine Herkunft und seine Muttersprache Englisch, nimmt Felix an vielen Formaten und Interviews teil, um Stray Kids zu repräsentieren und wurde fester Moderator bei dem englischsprachigen Programm Pops in Seoul. Er informierte dort vom 1. Juli 2019 bis zum 3. Januar 2020 in insgesamt 134 Episoden über die K-Pop-Kultur.

ILLUSTRATION

Der Kontrast zwischen Felix elfenhaften Aussehen und seiner tiefen Stimme brachte ihm bereits große Bekanntheit. Am 22.
