About Chains
“From Real to Surreal” was a huge success, selling over 106 thousand copies in its first week. In fact, HIGHLIGHT broke their own personal record with it! The previous record holder was the mini album “AFTER SUNSET” with 86 thousand copies sold.
“Chains” tells the story of a passionate, almost possessive love. The relationship feels like a dangerous game, full of risk. The lyrics describe the narrator as being chained up and stuck in a maze, yet breaking free of their chains.
The music video also conveys the feeling of “being chained” through various symbols. These symbols include blindfolds, surveillance cameras, and chains, among others.
