BIOGRAPHY

Jay (제이) was born on April 20, 2002 in Seattle, Washington, USA. At the age of 9, he moved to South Korea with his family. He went to Hanlim Multi Arts School. Jay was a trainee for two years and eleven months. On June 2, 2020, Jay was announced as a contestant on CJ ENM and Big Hit Entertainment's reality survival show I-LAND. On September 18, 2020, he came second in the global vote and became a member of the boy band ENHYPEN.

He made his debut as a rapper and singer of ENHYPEN on November 3 with the release of their first mini album “Border: Day One”. The group consists of seven members: Heeseung , Jay, Jake , Sunghoon , Sunoo , Jungwon , and Ni-ki .

Enhypen won her first award in her debut year of 2020: The "Next Leader Award" at The Fact Music Awards.
They sold over a million copies of their first album “Dimension: Dilemma” in 2021. The album was awarded diamond status in Korea.
In 2022 they started their first world tour "Manifesto" with a total of 21 concerts.
They then released their fourth mini album "Dark Blood". On May 23, it reached #1 on the iTunes Album Top Charts in 30 countries.
