BIOGRAPHY

Jungkook is the youngest member of the world-famous K-pop group BTS. Known for his exceptional talents as a singer, dancer and songwriter, Jungkook has earned the name “Golden Maknae” and the place as one of the most prominent and influential artists of his generation.

Jungkook (정국) was born on September 1, 1997 in Busan, South Korea. From a young age, he was fascinated by the world of K-pop idols and began studying and reenacting their performances. In 2011, at just 13 years old, he participated in the South Korean talent show "Superstar K". Although he did not make it to the finals, he made a lasting impression on several entertainment agencies.

Eventually, he decided to sign with Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE Corporation), mainly because of the talent of RM, one of the current BTS members, who was already a well-known artist at that time. Jungkook officially joined the group BTS in 2013, debuting on June 13 of the same year. The members are: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and Jungkook.

As the lead vocalist and "Golden Maknae" of the globally successful group BTS, Jungkook achieved numerous milestones together with his members and became a global phenomenon. Since the list of their achievements is very long, we have recorded some of the most important milestones here:

• In June 2013, BTS debuted with their album "2 Cool 4 Skool". The lead single "No More Dream" won them numerous awards in the "Best Newcomer" category.
• BTS began to gain international attention in 2015 with their album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1", particularly with the song "I Need U", which earned them their first music show win.
• The album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever" won "Album of the Year" at the 2016 Melon Music Awards, marking the beginning of their dominance at major award shows.
• Their second studio album, "Wings," debuted at number 26 on the Billboard 200, an unprecedented achievement for a Korean group.

Jungkook is the “Golden Maknae” of BTS.

Jungkook is the youngest member of the world-famous K-pop group BTS. Known for his exceptional talents as a singer, dancer and songwriter, Jungkook has earned the name “Golden Maknae” and the place as one of the most prominent and influential artists of his generation.

SOLO CAREER

Jungkook's first steps as a solo artist began within BTS' albums. In 2016, he released the solo song "Begin" on the "Wings" album, which explores his personal experiences and the beginning of his journey as the youngest member of BTS. "Euphoria", released in 2018 as part of the album "Love Yourself: Answer", became one of Jungkook's most well-known solo songs. The song, which combines a happy, optimistic sound with a deep emotional meaning, quickly became a fan favorite and has been a staple of BTS concerts ever since.

In 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jungkook released the song "Still With You" on SoundCloud. This track, which he produced himself, expresses his deep gratitude to fans and his feelings of loneliness during the pandemic. Releasing it on SoundCloud allowed him to create a closer, direct connection with his fans.

Jungkook first officially stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist in 2023. His first all-English solo single, "Seven," was released in July 2023 and marked a significant milestone in his career. The song, a collaboration with American rapper Latto, quickly reached No. 1 on several international charts, including the Billboard Hot 100. It showcased Jungkook's ability to move across different musical genres. Just a few months later, Jungkook released his second solo single "3D" in September 2023. In November 2023, Jungkook was officially registered with KOMCA (The Korea Music Copyright Association) with several songs registered in his name. Although Jungkook is not primarily known as a songwriter, he has still contributed to a variety of BTS tracks, showcasing his creative abilities.

In addition to appearing in BTS' own music videos, Jungkook has also made guest appearances in other artists' music videos. From 2019 to 2023, Jungkook was a regular live performer on VLIVE and later on YouTube, where he gave insights into his life in formats such as "G.C.F" (Golden Closet Films). In these videos, he shared moments from everyday life, his travels, and the work behind the scenes.

During his live streams, Jungkook often spoke directly to fans, introduced songs he was currently listening to, or took suggestions from fans.
