BIOGRAPHY

Lee Know (리노 rino) was born on October 25, 1998 in Gimpo, South Korea. He grew up in Daegotmyeon. His passion for dance became evident at an early age. In middle school he saw a dance video and wanted to take dance lessons from then on. For five years he trained and took dance lessons at the Souldance Studio in Seoul. To pay for dance performances and studies, he worked several part-time jobs.

He graduated from Gimpo Jeil Technical High School with a degree in computer science. He was then accepted into Chugye University for Arts in 2017. He stayed there for a while after his debut until he left the university due to time constraints.

In 2016, Lee Know became a background dancer for BTS for the songs “Fire” to “Spring Day” and went on the “Wings Tour” in early 2017. Over time, he realized that he wanted to be a singer and attended a JYP Entertainment casting in 2015. He heard nothing for two years until he was contacted and joined the agency on July 15, 2017.

On October 11, 2017, JYPE announced the survival show “Stray Kids”. In the show, Lee Know was introduced as a dancer and singer of the “Male Group Project”. The “Male Project Team” was special from the start because, unlike most other K-pop groups, it was not formed by the agency. Instead, trainee Bang Chan himself had put together the team of a total of nine members. The members were: Bang Chan , Lee Know, Han , Changbin , Felix , Hyunjin , Seungmin , I.N and Woojin.

Lee Know had it harder than the others. Although he was cast as a singer, he was asked to rap because his voice wasn't confident enough. To improve himself, he studied for hours and was still eliminated. However, Lee Know returned later in the show. In the last episode of the Survival Show on December 19, 2017, it was announced that this very group that Bang Chan put together was making its debut and Lee Know was part of the group again. However, in October 2019, Woojin left the group for unknown reasons.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

In his career as a dancer and singer in the up-and-coming and charismatic group “Stray Kids,” Lee Know and his members reached several milestones and surpassed themselves with each comeback. Since the list of their successes is very long, we have recorded some of the most important milestones for you here:

• As of August 2021, their album Noeasy has sold over 1,127,800 copies. This was the first time that Stray Kids and a group from the JYPE label broke the million mark.
• In March 2022, their album ODDINARY reached number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts for the first time.
• In August 2022, Stray Kids became the third Korean band to reach 10 million subscribers on YouTube, after BTS and BIGBANG.
• In October 2022, Stray Kids reached number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts for the second time in a row with MAXIDENT.
• In June 2023, Stray Kids reached number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts for the third time in a row with the album 5-STAR. They also broke the record for the most pre-ordered album in K-pop history at the time of its release.
• In November 2023, Stray Kids reached number 1 on the Billboard 200 for the fourth time in a row with their album ROCK-STAR. "LALALALA" also became their first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 charts at number 90.

Lee Know is known as a dancer. In his solo songs within the group Stray Kids he shows that he is also a very talented singer. In the Stray Kids songs he occasionally gets small rap parts, such as the well-known opening line of “Boxer”.
