Less than a year after their debut, the boy group has already achieved its big breakthrough with their second album “GREENGREEN”. The talented members now have over 15 million followers and are performing in Asia and America on their first world tour. Now the boys are taking it a step further: Their new album “GREENGREEN_playextened” will be released on October 30 with 2 new songs!
As you probably know, CORTIS debuted on August 18 with the digital single “What You Want.” But anyone who hasn’t been following the boy group closely may have wondered why they suddenly took the top spots on numerous charts. Everything really happened very quickly:
The debut album “Color Outside the Lines”, released in September 2025, was already a major success. CORTIS sold 250,000 copies on its first day, more than any other K-pop artist who debuted last year. The album also earned the young boy group numerous awards at the end of the year, including at the Asia Artist Awards and the MAMA Awards.
Of course, it’s no coincidence that K-pop fans took notice of the boys early on, since they’re at home at BIGHIT MUSIC, the same label that produced BTS and TXT.
The fans clearly liked what they saw, because the second album “GREENGREEN”, released in May, far surpassed its predecessor’s success! It topped South Korea’s Circle Chart and reached top positions on other prestigious charts such as Oricon (#2) and the Billboard 200 (#3). Particularly impressive: CORTIS remained on the Billboard 200 for 14 consecutive weeks, longer than any other boy group that debuted in the past five years. In addition, over 2 million copies of the album were sold in just four days. The first album, “Color Outside the Lines”, took six months to achieve that.
Instead of completely replacing “GREENGREEN” with a new album, the boy group is releasing an expanded version with 2 new songs for their anniversary!

The original album included 6 tracks: TNT, RedRed, Acai, YoungCreatorCrew, Wassup & Blue Lips. The two new songs “Pack It Up” & “MoneyMoneyMoney” were, as before, written by all 5 members of CORTIS.
“Pack It Up” was created as the members packed their suitcases for a trip and spontaneously started rapping. So it shows the boy band being completely genuine, just as they are. “MoneyMoneyMoney” is considered a hip-hop track and is about financial goals. Martin, James, and the others introduced both songs a few days ago at their “2026 CORTIS TOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY” in Seoul to celebrate their anniversary.

So far, there is only one physical version of “GREENGREEN_playextened”, which mainly consists of a plush keychain. It is, of course, the so-called “CORTIS BALL”, a kind of mascot for CORTIS that has regularly appeared in physical albums and fan merchandise since their debut.
You can choose from four different colors: pink, white, yellow, and blue. Each CORTIS BALL wears a birthday hat and sits in an eggshell, as if it had just hatched. This is, of course, a reference to the fact that CORTIS recently celebrated their first birthday as a group!
