Just before the release of NewJeans' official lightstick, we at Nolae can finally offer it in our shop too!
As early as October 29, the young girl group unveiled their official lightstick, only about three months after their debut. It is meant to represent a little bunny, fitting the fan club name “Bunnies” and the Bunnie that keeps showing up on NewJeans' social media and even in their albums.
In the meantime, the lightstick has also been given a name: “BinkyBong”. Binky is a Korean word that describes the hops of a rabbit, and Bong is the Korean word for “stick”.
Although not every fan was convinced by the design from the start, everyone agrees that the lightstick is unusual and stands out from the crowd!
Unusual lightsticks are being released more often these days than in the past, most recently for example the one from Le sserafim, which the girl group themselves jokingly call a hair straightener. But the majority of lightsticks still consist of a round, transparent sphere with a logo or name inside. Thanks to its unique design, NewJeans' lightstick definitely stands out!
It's not just the design that is unusual. The stick doesn't have just one button, but two!
With them you can switch between four different modes: Standard, Color Shaking, Bluetooth & Concert. In Standard and Color Shaking mode, the light switches between six different colors: white, green, pink, blue, orange and yellow.
Buyers get not only the lightstick but, as usual, also a matching box, a hand strap and an instruction manual. (Note: batteries are not included and have to be purchased separately.)
But that's not all! Every buyer also gets a bag to carry the lightstick and protect it from dust. It is a cute white fabric bag with the lightstick printed on it. A five-piece photocard set is also included! The cards show the members holding the lightstick in their hands.
