The boy group Super Junior made their debut in 2005, which makes them one of the oldest K-pop groups that are still active. Over time, several sub-units were formed, including “Super Junior D&E” in 2011. The name comes from the initials of the two members Donghae and Eunhyuk. Since their formation, the duo has released new music almost every year. Only in 2016 and 2017 was there a longer break, as the two did their military service from 2015 to 2017.
After the Korean album “Bad Blood” was most recently released in September 2020 and the Japanese single “Wings” in November, fans can now look forward to new music, almost a year later!
Countdown
Two days ago, Donghae already gave us a glimpse of the new album “Countdown” with the pre-release single “California Love”.
On October 20, Eunhyuk will also release a single, before the album comes out on November 2. We already know that the single will be called “Be” and we are very excited!
There will be three different versions of Countdown, named after the album and the two pre-release singles: “Countdown”, “Be” and “California Love”. Besides the CD, all three include a 128-page photo book, one of two photo prints and one of four photo cards.
If you add up the photo cards of all three versions, there are 12 in total. The Album Preview published on Twitter shows that it might be worth collecting all 12 cards, as together they seem to form one big picture. So we assume that the front shows a picture of one of the members as usual, but the backs, like the pieces of a puzzle, only show sections of a larger overall picture.
