Even though it's only mid-May, you can already pre-order several albums at Nolae that will be released in June or July. These include NewJeans, Twice Nayeon, Kep1er, ARTMS & WayV, among others. And the list keeps growing, because several stars have confirmed a comeback in the last few days!
The boys in particular are getting reinforcements, because three popular boy groups have been preparing a new album in recent weeks. You surely already know one of them: Stray Kids announced just last week that they will return with new music on July 19. But who else is joining in?
ENHYPEN
BELIFT LAB confirmed yesterday that Enhypen will release a new album on July 12!
This may come as a big surprise to some fans, because the boy group only released a new album two days ago. However, “Memorabilia” is a special album for the webtoon DARK MOON that is not being promoted on music shows.
The upcoming album is therefore the first official comeback since “ORANGE BLOOD” six months ago. It was released on November 17, including the title track “Sweet Venom”.
TREASURE
YG’s youngest boy group uploaded a poster on their social media yesterday and thereby revealed the comeback date: May 28, 2024. Yes, Treasure is presenting a new album this very month! So it won't be long before the first versions arrive in our shop. Keep your eyes peeled!
Their last album “Reboot” was released in July 2023, so it has been almost a year already. It was a huge milestone for Treasure, because with it the boy group more than doubled their personal sales record! Until then, “The Second Step: Chapter One” (February 2022), with currently 839 thousand copies sold, was considered Treasure's most successful album. However, Reboot has already sold over 1.7 million copies to date!
Can Treasure continue this success with the upcoming album? We're keeping our fingers firmly crossed!
AKMU
The popular sibling duo is preparing for a comeback in June! A new mini album is due to be released as early as the beginning of the month; the first since “Next Episode” in July 2021.
In recent years, things have been rather quiet around AKMU, partly because Lee Chanhyuk was in the military from September 2017 to May 2019. In 2022 there was no new music at all from the siblings, but in 2023 the digital single “Love Lee” was released. It topped the Circle Digital Chart and also reached number 2 on the Billboard Kpop Hot 100 chart!
The new album will undoubtedly be crowned with success as well. Above all, it is a gift for fans who have waited three years for a new album.
Which comeback are you looking forward to the most?
- Treasure: May 28
- AKMU: Early June
- Enhypen: July 12
