"I SAY MAMAMOO: THE BEST" - Mamamoo returns for four!

Yesterday Mamamoo`s agency RBW Entertainment presented on the official Twitter account of the girl group the cover for the new album together with the release date and the so far unknown title: "I SAY MAMAMOO: THE BEST" will be released on September 15th.

The last album "WAW" was released only three months ago, but still the anticipation is extremely high, because "I SAY MAMAMOO: THE BEST" marks the first comeback since Wheein left the agency.

As with many other K-pop groups, the contract of Mamamoo's four members expired after seven years, and so this year the girl group, which debuted in 2014, faced the decision of what to do next. Solar and Moonbyul signed new contracts back in January; Hwasa followed their lead in March.

Wheein, however, decided to leave the agency in June and later signed an exclusive contract with "THEL1VE". However, her time with Mamamoo was by no means over, as she decided to sign a separate contract with RBW Entertainment to remain active as part of the girl group.
Wheein's solo activities will thus be managed by her new agency, while RBW will continue to be responsible for her activities with Mamamoo.

Despite assurances that Wheein and the remaining three members would continue to release new music together, not everyone probably expected it to happen so soon. In addition, "I SAY MAMAMOO: THE BEST" is not only the first album since Wheein left the agency, but also the group's first compilation album, which will include new versions of previous title songs and popular B-sides. Mamamoo aims to celebrate their seventh anniversary with the album, which will also allow them to look back musically on the past seven years as a group. Although there is no exact track list yet, it is known that it will also contain brand new songs.
