JYP Entertainment debuts new girl band in 2022
South Korean entertainment agency JYP Entertainment is ready to present another fresh talent, having already created popular bands like TWICE, Wonder Girls and others. Who exactly we are talking about and all the further details are still unknown - so it remains exciting!
The agency was founded in 1997 and is one of the most renowned agencies in South Korea. Currently, JYP manages several groups and solo artists, such as 2PM and Stray Kids.
On July 8, JYP released a mysterious teaser, and on July 9, after general curiosity, they revealed that it was a new girl band - the first new girl band in three years since ITZY debuted in 2019. The band will debut in February 2022, and an exact date is not yet known, nor is the name of the band.
The title of the teaser "Blind Package" describes pretty much everything that is related to the girl band, you have to get blindly involved with the band. Also the way to promote the new band with a concert is something completely new. In addition, the debut single will also be available only conditionally. You will be able to pre-order it from July 16 - 25, a post-production is not planned.
You already notice, a completely new concept - as the title already suggests, "It's not an ordinary package, It's extraordinary!". Get into it, you won't regret it for sure!
The new group is managed by JYP Entertainment's Division 4, which is led by Lee Ji Young, the company's first female general manager.
The debut single consists of the CD, a photobook, a photocard, a poster, a random Polaroid and a premium Membership Card. The Membership Card will be put into a lottery pot and the lucky winner will then get to attend the post-debut event.
