News from BTS: J-Hope releases HOPE Edition of Jack in the Box!

Neues von BTS: J-Hope veröffentlicht HOPE Edition von Jack in the Box!

J-Hope had to say goodbye to his fans on April 18 because that was the day he began his military service. Military service in South Korea lasts at least 18 months, so the rapper won't return until October 2024. So we won't be hearing anything new from him for a long time, right? Wrong! As of today, you can pre-order a new version of J-Hope’s debut album “Jack in the Box”!

It has been over a year since J-Hope introduced his first official solo album Jack in the Box and stormed the charts worldwide with it. In February, a documentary about the album even came out on Disney+. If you still can't get enough of the songs, you should check out the new HOPE Edition!

Last year, a vinyl version and a Weverse Album were released, which contains digital content and a few photocards.

The new HOPE Edition will be released on August 21 and will surely fulfill all the wishes that may still have been left open:

This time, for example, a 100-page photobook awaits you. And that's just the beginning! It also comes with one of two CDs, a 16-page lyric book and a variety of extras: photocards are only one of them. Every buyer gets two out of four possible photocards, one of two paper toys with instructions, two sticker sheets and one of two folded posters.

We don't yet know exactly what the paper toy is, but the album preview reveals that it consists of 11 pages. Are you as curious as we are?

If you don't have Jack in the Box in your collection yet, now is the perfect time to change that!

Want more? There is also a separate variant + Weverse Gift in the shop. Buyers additionally get one of two previously unreleased photocards and a magnet with the same design.

This announcement comes only three days after BTS maknae Jungkook released his digital single “Seven (ft. Latto)”.

Since his debut with BTS, Jungkook has already had several very successful solo singles, such as the FIFA World Cup song “Dreamers” or the soundtrack “Stay Alive”. However, Seven is considered his debut single, since all previous songs were released on BTS albums or serve as soundtracks.

With Seven, Jungkook has once again outdone himself!

The catchy pop song topped the Global Spotify Chart, among other things, with almost 16 million streams, and the music video has already been viewed almost 72 million times in just three days! Jungkook is the first K-pop artist to debut at the top of the Global Chart, thereby even surpassing his bandmate Jimin. His song “Like Crazy” from the album FACE entered the chart at number 2 in March. No Korean artist had managed that before him!

Jungkook is not only the first K-pop star to debut at the top of the chart, but also the first male artist in the whole world to reach more than 15 million streams on the first day. Before him, only Taylor Swift has managed that!

Since yesterday, there has also been a performance video on YouTube in which Jungkook casually dances to his new hit:

BTS is taking a break as a group, but as you can see, the members of the boy group are defending their place at the top of the charts. We are curious to see which record we can congratulate them on next!
