Onew celebrates his first solo comeback with "Dice"!
The die is finally cast. Over 3 years after his solo debut with "Voice", Onew returns with a new album in April. Of course, the big gap is also due to his military service in 2019/2020, but originally his second album was supposed to be released in November last year. Why it was postponed, we don't know, but after all this time, we are now even more excited to be enchanted by Onew's extraordinary voice!
The singer debuted in 2008 in SHINee, one of the few second generationidol groups that remain active. Although he has a lot of experience and released over 30 albums with SHINee, the new album is certainly something special, because it is only the second one he records all by himself.
SHINee fans know that the titles of all the members' solo debut albums are coordinated. "Base" by Jonghyun rhymes with "Ace" by Taemin. "Face" by Key and "Voice" by Onew also join the series. This is the members' way of expressing that they are always together, even when pursuing solo activities. Physically, the albums are also very similar, they are square and have a uniform design.
You may have noticed that the title of the new album, "Dice," also fits well into the series. It's a nice gesture from Onew.
So, now about the album!
There is a photobook version and a digipack version.
The photobook version contains, who would have thought, a photobook. It also comes with the CD, a sticker, one of 3 photo cards and one of 3 special cards. Buyers will randomly receive one of two different covers. If you pre-order the album, you'll also get an optional folded poster with one of 3 possible designs. This is very limited though, so don't wait too long!
Buyers of the digipack version will also get a photo book, a CD, one of 3 photo cards and one of 2 folded posters. Again, pre-orders get an optional limited edition folded poster with one of 2 possible designs.
