Park Seo Joon, Bae Suzy and more have announced new K-dramas for 2023!

2022 marks the end of another exciting year for K-Pop fans. New groups have debuted, hits that will be part of our playlist for a long time have been released, and even groups that haven't been active together for several years have teamed up for a new album.

But it wasn't just South Korea's singers who were busy this year, but also the countless talented actors and actresses:

Kim Go Eun (Goblin), Kim Woo Bin (The Heirs), and Son Ye Jin (Crash Landing on You) are just a few of the big names who have provided laughs or elicited tears with new dramas this year!

Just like the K-pop industry, of course, the acting industry never stands still, so it's no wonder that a number of K-dramas have already been announced that await us viewers next year.

These are a few of the actors whose new projects we're especially looking forward to:

Park Seo Joon

The popular actor already caused a stir last year when it was confirmed that he will be seen in the Hollywood movie "The Marvels" in 2023. We are very happy to see that with Park Seo Joon, another Korean actor is entering the international stage and hopefully gaining many new fans there!

Aside from that, Park Seo Joon has also already filmed a new K-drama titled Gyeongseong Creature which will be streaming on Netflix next year. Although the series has yet to be released, it was announced in November that a second season will soon be produced!

Gyeongseong Creature is set in the spring of 1945, a time when Korea was occupied by Japan. It is about two young adults who have to fight a strange creature in order to survive! The drama is classified in the genres of thriller and horror, so it's not for the faint of heart! The female lead is played by Han So Hee (Nevertheless).

Park Seo Joon was last seen in 2020 in the drama Itaewon Class. So his return to the big screen is long overdue!

Jung Hae In

Jung Hae In has captured the hearts of viewers in recent years with dramas like "A Piece of Your Mind" and "Snowdrop".

In early 2023 or even by the end of this year, we can see him in the second season of the Netflix series D.P. ! The series revolves around the Korean military police with a mission to catch deserters. The first season, also starring Jung Hae In, aired back in August 2021. So fans of the drama had to wait a long time for the sequel.

Bae Suzy

The actress and singer has once again convinced us of her talent this year with the psychological drama "Anna" and as always, we want more!

Luckily, Suzy has been working on a new series called The Girl Downstairsfor a few months now with Yang Se Jong (My Country) as the male lead. He plays a college student who falls in love with his neighbor. This neighbor is a former celebrity who has left the limelight to study. Of course, she is played by none other than Suzy.

We are sure that Suzy will not only capture the heart of a student in her role, but also enchant us viewers!

Kim So Hyun

We missed Kim So Hyun a lot, as the young actress was last seen in 2021's "River Where the Moon Rises".

Since the drama was already aired in the first half of the year, it has been almost 20 months since we could see Kim So Hyun in a new role. She signed a contract with a new label in 2022, but whether that's the reason for the break, we don't know.

Kim So Hyun also apparently can't wait to return, because she recently announced not one, but two new series!

Filming for the first series, "Is It Fate?” has already begun. It tells the story of young people who coincidentally meet their first love again after 10 years.

Following this, Kim So Hyun will team up with Hwang Min Hyun (Alchemy of Souls), former member of boy group NU'EST, to film Useless Lies. The mystery-romance series is about a woman who can hear lies and encounters a murder suspect that everyone thinks is guilty.

Which of the two series are you looking forward to more?
