Red Velvet, NCT and more SM artists will be joining Weverse in September!

Red Velvet, NCT und weitere SM-Künstler werden im September Weverse beitreten!

Back in April, a collaboration between SM Entertainment and HYBE Corporation regarding the online platform Weverse was announced. Now it's finally happening!

At the beginning of the year, HYBE Corporation, the company behind groups like BTS and TXT, was close to acquiring SM Entertainment. In a surprising turn of events, however, HYBE announced in March that it was withdrawing from the planned acquisition. Instead, the two companies reached an agreement with Kakao aimed at cooperation in the entertainment sector. Back then, SM Entertainment already announced that its artists would join Weverse in the second half of the year.

Now there is finally a date as well: On September 12, SM artists such as BoA, Super Junior, SHINee, Red Velvet, NCT and more will join the platform.

This step marks an unexpected turn in the developments between the two big companies.

But what is Weverse actually?

Weverse is a social media platform designed specifically for K-Pop fans. It gives fans the opportunity to interact with their favorite artists, see exclusive content, take part in fan activities and much more. The platform was developed by Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE Corporation). Weverse has quickly become one of the most popular platforms for K-Pop fans and continues to grow steadily this year as well.

Which artists are already on Weverse?

Over time, Weverse has taken many artists and groups into its network. Besides the artists of HYBE Corporation, including BTS, TXT or Le Sserafim, artists from other companies are also represented on the platform. These include stars from many different large and small labels, such as Mystic Story Entertainment, YG Entertainment and now also SM Entertainment.

With SM Entertainment's artists joining the Weverse universe, fans will soon be able to access even more exclusive content. This will undoubtedly strengthen the K-Pop community further and give fans an even more intense bond with the artists.
