A new post on Blackpink's official Twitter account finally gives us the information we've been eagerly waiting for: On March 31, Jisoo will finally release her first solo album!
At the beginning of the year, YG Entertainment already confirmed that Jisoo will soon debut solo and is already shooting the music video. So we knew it couldn't be much longer, but now we finally have certainty and a set date to look forward to!
It's still over three weeks away, but you can already pre-order the album from us:

The singer has just announced four different versions:
First, let's take a look at the two photo book versions, "Red" and "Black" : buyers will each get an 88-page photo book, a CD, a lyric paper, and several cool extras: one of four possible photo cards, one of four Polaroids, and a bookmark. Everything is neatly tucked away in a rectangular box.
Pre-ordering is worth it, because exclusive in the First Edition is another one of four possible selfie photo cards included as well as a double-sided poster!
You can order these two versions both normally and with an additional YG Select Gift. The gift is an unpublished photo card! Attention: The YG Select Gift version is available separately in the store. Only there you get the extra photo card. You can find the variant here!
Alternatively there is the Weverse Gift Set: It contains both the Red and the Black version and a Weverse Gift. What exactly it's about is not yet known. The Weverse Set is also available separately in the store.
The Kit Album consists of a square red box, which of course primarily contains an Air Kit. With this you can access digital content like the songs, videos and exclusive photos. In addition, there is a lyric paper, a credit paper and a set of 25 square photo cards that are even double-sided!
Our personal highlight is the calendar with wooden stand. The calendar consists of 12 cards that you can put on your table or shelf with the stand. We especially like that the stand is made of wood, not plastic! On the front it says "JISOO".
The First Edition also includes one of four possible selfie photo cards!
Fans of vinyl records should definitely take a look at the Limited Edition . This consists of a vinyl record, which presents Jisoo's new songs with a unique sound.
With Jisoo, all members of Blackpink will soon finally have a solo single in their discography!
Expectations are high as Jennie, Rosé and Lisa have all topped the charts in several countries with their releases, won awards and broke records:
Jennie kicked things off with her single "Solo" on November 12, 2018, just two years after the debut of the now globally renowned girl group. The song was a huge success and made it clear that the members are also strong competitors individually! Never before had a female Korean solo artist's music video been viewed as many times as Solo in the first 24 hours.
Subsequently, fans had to wait over two years for more members of Blackpink to follow in Jennie's footsteps. In return, two of them made their solo debuts in 2021:
Rosé's debut single album "R" was released on March 12, 2021 and features the two tracks "On the Ground" and "Gone". The album showcases Rosé's vocal talent and emotional depth. The music video for "On the Ground" broke the nearly eight-year-old record for the most-viewed music video by a Korean solo artist in 24 hours with 41.6 million views! Psy had set this record in 2013 with the hit "Gentlemen".
On September 10, 2021, Lisa released her single album "Lalisa", which also contains two tracks: The title track of the same name and "Money". The music video for the title track "Lalisa" was viewed 73.6 million times in the first 24 hours, breaking Taylor Swift's record for the most viewed video by a female solo artist in 24 hours.
Jisoo has been focusing on her acting career in the 2021 and has been in front of the camera as the lead for the K-drama "Snowdrop". But now it's finally her turn!
