Those who have seen Twice's cheering guide to the new title track "Set Me Free" know it already since a few days. And those who follow the girl group on Twitter know it since yesterday at the latest: Twice is releasing a new Lightstick!
The members have already used the new Lightstick in their Cheering Guide on March 13 and on Thursday the 16th a clear picture was uploaded on the official Twitter account . On it, besides the design, not only the name "CANDYBONG ∞" was announced, but also that the pre-order phase will start on Monday!

As with the previous versions, the headpiece consists of a round shape. Similar to its predecessor, Twice's logo is emblazoned in the center and the rim glows in Twice official fan colors: Apricot and Neon Magenta. In the Cheering Guide, we saw that it can also glow in white, pink, green, orange, and blue, among other colors.
But in fact, the center of the Lightstick is particularly interesting in this version.
Anyone who has seen the Cheering Guide knows that the center is particularly striking, even from a distance, because it shines and glows conspicuously. Now we know why: The Twice logo is printed on a transparent plate, through which we can look inside.
We see a round, black cavity that contains other light elements. These glow in the same colors as the rim. The sight is so fascinating that we can't help but stare at it!
The new Lightstick is definitely an eye-catcher and could soon become the highlight of your collection as well. Just in time for those who want to visit Twice World Tour !
The new design is version 3 of the Twice Lightstick.
Twice's first Lightstick, released in October 2016, already attracted attention because the headpiece was not a transparent dome with a logo inside like most others, but a flat round shape that looks like a big orange-pink lollipop. Hence the name "Candybong".
"Candy" is the English word for "candy" and "bong" is the Korean word for "stick". That's why many K-Pop Lightstick have the word "bong" in their name, because it simply describes the stick-shaped handle. It fits the sugar-sweet image that Twice had at the time. In fact, around the same time, the album "Twicecoaster" was released, including the title song "TT". The album cover and the photos inside are decorated with cotton candy, candies and lollipops.
Version 2 was released in May 2019 and is called "Candybong Z". It has a slightly more modern design than the original version. The lollipop can still be seen, but here only the rim lights up instead of the whole head piece. The center is black and shows the Twice logo.
Until a few days ago, version 2 was still the most current and therefore the first choice for all fans who wanted to equip themselves with a Lightstick for a concert. This is changing now. After almost four years there is finally a new design and we personally think it is the most beautiful of all! Version three is chic, modern and unusual. It leaves nothing to be desired!
