SHINee's Minho finally makes his solo debut with "Chase"!

Countless SHINee fans have been waiting for this moment for years: Minho has finally announced his first solo album! It's called "Chase" and can be pre-ordered starting today!
Not too many details are known yet, except that there will be a standard version and a photobook version . But on Twitter a cover was already uploaded and the release date was announced. The album will be released on December 12, just a few days after Minho's birthday.
Minho is the rapper of SHINee and has been active solo mainly as an actor. However, he has already released two solo singles, I'm Home (2019) and "Heartbreak" (2021). Since then, fans have been craving for more!
Most importantly, Minho's solo album completes the series of solo debut albums by the five SHINee members. This is because the debut albums all have names that rhyme with each other, are designed the same way, and have the same format!
Fans affectionately refer to this as "SHINee Plagiarism"
Taemin was the first member of SHINee to debut solo. He released his first album titled "ACE" in August 2014, and the joke started when Jonghyun also made his solo debut in January 2015. Namely, he named his first album "BASE" and intentionally designed it the same as ACE to symbolize that SHINee belongs together even when the members go solo. Taemin jokingly accused Jonghyun of plagiarism at the time!
Key continued the tradition when he released his first solo album "FACE" in November 2018. And in December 2018, Onew followed with his solo debut album "VOICE".
Especially because Jonghyun, who passed away in December 2017, started this tradition, it is even more important for the band and fans to continue it.
Since then, fans waited for Minho's solo debut in hopes that he would continue the tradition. They even pondered what his album might be called: "SPACE" and "CHASE" were among the most popular theories.
And they were right! So with "CHASE" the series is finally complete this year.
