Ever since Soojin left (G)I-DLE in 2021, fans have wondered what the future holds for her. Soojin did open a personal Instagram account at the end of June, but has not given any hints about future activities so far.

So it was all the more surprising when a Korean news portal reported yesterday that Soojin is preparing for her solo debut! Her new agency BRD Communications confirmed the news about Soojin's solo debut and stated that an album is scheduled to be released this year!

This news comes almost a year after Soojin last made an official statement. The singer last announced in September 2022 that she had withdrawn her lawsuit against her former classmate. In 2021, the classmate spread rumors that Soojin bullied her at school.

These rumors eventually led to Soojin leaving (G)I-DLE. However, the singer stands by her statement to this day that the accusations are not true. Her fans are still supporting her and looking forward to her solo debut! We too can't wait to see Soojin back on stage!

Soojin is a talented singer and dancer who rose to fame as a member of the successful girl group (G)I-DLE. Cube Entertainment announced her exit, marking a major turning point in her career. The decision came amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding rumors of school violence, and was a painful blow to both Soojin and her fans. (G)I-DLE has been active with five members since then.

March 5, 2022 brought another twist for Soojin.

Cube Entertainment announced the termination of her contract and parted ways with the idol. After this announcement, fans wondered if she would ever return to the K-pop scene.

On September 8, 2022, Soojin's legal representative stated that Soojin had decided to withdraw the lawsuit against her former classmate.

The reason she gave was that it was difficult to find out the truth. After all, there are no significant facts other than the testimonies of the parties involved.
