WAKEONE confirmed: Kep1er stays, Mashiro and Yeseo go.

Wir haben uns geirrt, was Kep1er angeht und wir könnten nicht glücklicher darüber sein! Wir haben nicht daran geglaubt, aber die Mitglieder der Girlgroup und WAKEONE haben sich tatsächlich geeinigt und ihren Vertrag verlängert. “Kep1going On” wird also nicht das letzte Album von Kep1er sein!

When we introduced you to Kep1er's new album in mid-May, we talked about the fact that WAKEONE was still in negotiations with the members. So it wasn't 100 percent certain that Kep1er would disband after the album.

We were proven wrong:

WAKEONE announced in a statement yesterday that Kep1er will stay together!

We don't yet know exactly how long the new contract will run for, but it is now certain that the girl group will be with us for a while longer. So Kep1going On will probably not be the last album after all.

However, there is one piece of bad news:

Mashiro and Yeseo will be leaving Kep1er.

The two are returning to their agency - 143 Entertainment - and are rumored to be debuting in LIMELIGHT. LIMELIGHT is a three-member girl group that debuted on February 17, 2023. The group has released 4 albums so far: The pre-debut album “Limelight” in 2022, the debut album “Love & Happiness”, the single album “Madeleine” and in January the mini album “Last Dance”.

We assume that Mashiro and Yeseo will prepare directly for their debut in LIMELIGHT after the end of Kep1er. So hopefully we won't have to wait too long for them.

So Kep1er will only consist of 7 members in the future: Yujin, Xiaoting, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih and Youngeun.

Nevertheless, we are very excited about the news and can't wait to see more of Kep1er!

We are pleased to announce that the company and members of Mnet’s project group ‘Kep1er’--YUJIN, XIAOTING, CHAEHYUN, DAYEON, HIKARU, HUENING BAHIYYIH and YOUNGEUN–have agreed to renew the contract to extend group promotions.

Thus, Kep1er will continue its promotions as a 7-member group after the project term has expired.
