Blackpink's Jisoo finally makes her solo debut in 2023!

Jennie, Rosé and Lisa have all released their own single albums in the last four years. Of course, at least since Rosé and Lisa's solo debut in 2021, fans have been wishing that Jisoo would also present her own album. After all, she is the last of the four Blackpink members without an album of her own.
A few hours ago, YG Entertainment confirmed to the great delight of fans that Jisoo will debut solo in 2023!
Right now, however, we didn't expect this announcement because, after all, the popular girl group has been on tour for several months. The world tour began in October 2022 and has already taken the singers across the United States, England and Europe. Apparently, Jisoo still found time in between to work on her solo debut.
According to YG Entertainment, the idol has even completed photo shoots for the album and is currently busy recording! When exactly it will be ready, however, has not yet been announced.
Blackpink also has a number of concerts lined up for this year, including in Thailand, Indonesia and Australia. The dates are even scheduled until the end of June, so it will still take half a year until the tour ends. We are curious to see if Jisoo will present her album during the tour or afterwards. We hope she will also take a break and not put too much pressure on herself!
Jisoo has been focusing on her acting career for the past few years:
Jisoo may be the last Blackpink member to release a solo album, but she hasn't been idle during that time. Since 2015, she has had small guest roles in K-dramas - The Producers (2015), Part-Time Idols (2017), Arthdal Chronicles (2019) - and in 2021, she landed the lead role in the drama "Snowdrop"! In it, Jisoo played a student who falls in love with another student, who is more than he seems to be.
So we already had the chance to admire Jisoo alone on screen, without the other Blackpink members. But we're even more excited that we'll soon be able to watch a solo music video of hers on continuous loop!
Will Jisoo be able to match the success of Jennie, Rosé and Lisa?
The three members of Blackpink have celebrated great successes and broken records with their single albums! We're happy to give you a brief overview in case you can't remember everything:
Jennie - Solo
Jennie was the first of the girl group to make her solo debut. Her single album "Solo" was released on November 12, 2018, topping Korea's Gaon Digital Chart, Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100 chart, and Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart, among others. Moreover, it stayed on these charts for more than 25 weeks!
Solo also brought Jennie three wins in music shows and two awards:

Solo was undoubtedly a successful start for Blackpink's solo careers!
Rosé - R
On March 12, 2021, more than two years after Jennie, the second member of Blackpink debuted: Rosé released her single album "R".
It not only reached high chart positions, but also broke several records! For example, with more than 400,000 pre-orders within four days, it became the best-selling single album by a Korean solo singer ever at that time. In addition, according to the Hanteo Chart, over 280,000 copies were sold on the first day after release, also a new record for Korean female solo singers.
In addition, "R" was also very successful in China. The album topped the Digital Album Sales Chart of China's largest streaming service QQ Music.
At the 2021 Asian Pop Music Awards, "R" was named one of the top 20 albums of the year, and the title track "On the Ground" won no less than six music show trophies.
As you can see, both Jennie and Rosé have met and perhaps exceeded the high expectations. The same goes for Lisa!
Lisa - Lalisa
Blackpink's Maknae also presented her first single album about half a year after Rosé. "Lalisa" was released on September 10, 2021. With the album, Lalisa even surpassed Rosé's records!
"Lalisa" was namely pre-ordered more than 700,000 times within four days! Moreover, the Hanteo Chart recorded more than 330,000 album sales on the first day and more than 736,000 in the first week! With this, Lisa set a new record for the most pre-ordered single album by a Korean female solo singer, as well as the best-selling single album by a female solo singer on the first day and the best-selling single album by female artists in the first week.
Of course, Lisa also topped the charts, won a music show and two awards:
