Back in mid-November we introduced to you the 2023 Season’s Greetings from various SM Entertainment artists. These included NCT, SHINee, aespa and Red Velvet, among others. But two popular groups were missing: Oh!GG (Girls’ Generation subunit) and Super Junior!
There were already two teaser images for both Season’s Greetings, but further details kept us waiting. More than five weeks later, it's finally time: you can pre-order the packages from us starting today!
We could already piece together the contents, because as always, the Season’s Greetings from SM Entertainment are very similar. Buyers each get a rectangular box containing a desk calendar and a bound diary. That way the singers accompany you throughout the whole year!
On top of that there are quite a lot of extras: 1 postcard set, 1 folded poster set (2 pcs.) , 1 sticker set (photos and handwriting), 1 A4 poster set, a mini brochure, 1 photocard package & 1 4-cut photo sticker.
How many postcards or photocards a set contains differs for each Season’s Greeting and depends mainly on the number of members.
For Oh!GG:
- Postcard set: 10 pieces
- A4 poster set: 10 pieces
- Photocard package: 5 transparent and 5 regular photocards
- 4-cut photo sticker: 5 pieces
Super Junior:
- Postcard set: 9 pieces
- A4 poster set: 12 pieces
- Photocard package: 9 transparent and 9 regular photocards
- 4-cut photo sticker: 9 pieces
In addition, each group has an individual item, which usually matches the respective concept.
The members of Oh!GG appear in the photos like movie stars in black leather outfits or with pistols in their hands. Fittingly, the individual item is a Movie Ticket Set. It consists of five movie postcards and five photo ticket cards.
Super Junior hold sparklers or a cake in their hands in the photos. The individual item is an Accordion Postcard Set (2 pcs.) and a Circle Photo Set (9 pcs.)
Oh!GG is the second sub-unit of Girls’ Generation
It consists of Taeyeon, Yoona, Sunny, Yuri and Hyoyeon. These are the five members of Girls’ Generation who are still under contract with SM Entertainment. The other three - Seohyun, Tiffanny and Sooyoung - are still part of the girl group, but switched agencies in 2017. So at SM Entertainment projects like the 2021 Winter Album or SMTown concerts, only Oh!GG is represented.
The unit debuted in 2018 with the single album “Lil’ Touch” and, among other things, sang the song “Melody” for the 2021 SM Winter Album “SMCU Express”.
Also, since 2019 Season’s Greetings have been released by Oh!GG instead of by Girls’ Generation with eight members!
Do you already own a Season’s Greeting from Oh!GG or Super Junior? If not, this year you can add the first one to your collection!
