Loona’s subunit ODD EYE CIRCLE caused a stir yesterday with a first teaser! Ever since Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul and Choerry signed a contract with a new label in mid-March, fans have been hoping for new music from the talented singers. So the excitement was huge when an image teaser of Jinsoul appeared on Twitter a few hours ago!
The teaser was uploaded to ARTMS’s official Twitter account and is called “ODD EYE CIRCLE <Version Up> JinSoul”.
What is ARTMS? Let’s take a look back at the last few months to answer this and other questions:
As you surely know, since the end of 2022 all members of Loona have, one by one, sued their agency Blockberry Creative over mistreatment. On January 13, 2023, it became known that four of them had won the lawsuit: Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul and Choerry. On March 17, they signed contracts with the label Modhaus, which is also home to the young girl group tripleS.
Modhaus created a project called “ARTMS” for the four Loona members:
The social media channels are also called ARTMS. However, Jaden Jeong, a creative director at Modhaus who has worked with Loona before, emphasized that ARTMS is only a project name, not a new group name. ARTMS is derived from Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon.
Modhaus has also filed a trademark application for “ODD EYE CIRCLE”:
This applies to both the English version and the Korean version 오드아이써클. Apparently the agency was successful with it, since the JinSoul teaser was uploaded under the title ODD EYE CIRCLE!
ODD EYE CIRCLE is one of three Loona subunits:
The three units were founded before Loona’s debut in order to introduce the members. ODD EYE CIRCLE consists of the three members Kim Lip, Jinsoul and Choerry. The unit has released two albums.
Since all three members are now with Modhaus, fans were right to hope for a comeback of the unit. Now the only question left is whether Heejin will join the unit and whether it will be promoted as four members from now on.
After all, she is currently with Modhaus as well. So far, Heejin has been a member of Loona ⅓, the first Loona subunit.
