BSS IS COMING BACK. With this announcement on Twitter, the boy group Seventeen has sent fans into a frenzy! No wonder, because it's not just any comeback; it's the first comeback of Seventeen’s subunit BSS in five years and their first comeback ever!
In 2018, BSS debuted with the digital single “Just Do It”. This time, however, the unit is presenting not just a digital single, but their first single album “SECOND WIND”. You can choose from three very different versions, which you can pre-order starting today!
The album will be released on February 7.
There is a Standard Version, a KiT Version and a Weverse Albums Version:
The Standard Version consists of a rectangular box containing an 88-page photobook, an 8-page lyrics book and, of course, a CD.
It also comes with two of six possible photocards, one of 3 BSS cards, a sticker, a folded poster and one of 3 Habit Trackers. We don't yet know what the “Habit Tracker” is all about, but we're looking forward to finding out!
If you order the album before February 7, you'll also get an extra Polaroid from Nolae!
The KiT Version is perfect for everyone who loves photocards!
Buyers get the digital Air-Kit, which lets them download the album, and a Title & Credit card.
On top of that, there is a postcard and 26 photocards! These are slightly larger than classic photocards and include photos that are exclusive to the KiT album. If you'd also like to add some classic photocards to your collection, you won't be disappointed either. Every buyer gets 3 Selfie photocards!
Alternatively, there's the Weverse Albums Version, which also consists mainly of photocards.
You can expect a card holder that looks like an envelope from the outside. Inside, you'll find one of three possible QR cards and two of six Selfie photocards.
There is also an instruction manual that explains how to use the QR card to download digital content. The card has the same format as regular photocards, so it will fit into your collecting binder without any problems!

Seventeen BSS
The unit consists of DK, Seungkwan and Hoshi. “BSS” stands for BooSeokSoon. This name is made up of the full names of the three members: Boo Seungkwan, Lee Seokmin & Kwon Soonyoung. BSS is the first official subunit of Seventeen, apart from the three teams Vocal, Performance and Hip-Hop.
The trio made their debut on March 21, 2018 with the digital single “Just Do It”:
Like many other Seventeen songs, the single was produced by Woozi. DK, Seungkwan and Hoshi all contributed to the lyrics. And with success! “Just Do It” topped the iTunes Top Singles Charts in Australia, Japan, South Africa and Sweden. It also made it into the top 3 in several other countries such as America, New Zealand and Singapore!
The fans who danced to the song all over the world undoubtedly looked forward to more songs, but they had to wait five years. Of course, there was plenty of new music from Seventeen with all 13 members in the meantime that thrilled them. Last year alone, the boy group released two Korean albums - Face the Sun & Sector 17 - and a Japanese album called “Dream”. “Face the Sun” is even one of only five albums from 2022 that sold more than two million copies!
Still, we're especially happy about the comeback of BSS, which is long overdue!
