À propos de Takedown
Il existe deux versions de la chanson : la version du film, interprétée par les doubleurs, et la version officielle de la bande originale interprétée par Twice.
Le film raconte l’histoire d’un girl group de K-pop composé de trois membres nommé HUNTR/X. Le monde les célèbre comme chanteuses, mais en coulisses, elles chassent les démons dans le but de les anéantir complètement. Leurs armes ne se limitent pas aux épées, mais incluent aussi leur musique. Lorsqu’un charmant boys band démoniaque menace soudain leurs fans, la situation devient sérieuse pour HUNTR/X.
Pour reconquérir leurs fans, HUNTR/X veut battre les Saja Boys aux Idol Awards avec un diss track intitulé « Takedown ». Avec cette chanson, HUNTR/X exprime son dégoût envers les démons et affirme qu’elles ne se laisseront pas duper et qu’elles abattront les démons. Elles décrivent même vouloir les découper et leur arracher le cœur.
La version de Twice est sortie numériquement un jour avant la sortie du film et a déjà été écoutée 4 millions de fois en une semaine. « Takedown » a attiré l’attention pour son ambiance sombre, en contraste marqué avec l’image joyeuse et enjouée de Twice.
Le film est un succès total : il se classe numéro 1 sur Netflix dans 26 pays, et des chansons comme « Takedown » ou « Golden » ont dominé les classements dans le monde entier !
